The Challenge
A local non-profit wanted to help its department leaders feel more confident and efficient with their daily data. They needed a practical crash course on the best tips and tricks for Google Sheets, plus a clear, straightforward introduction to Airtable so they could understand when to switch from a spreadsheet to a database.
The Approach
Instead of giving a generic lecture, I looked at the actual spreadsheets the team used every day. This helped me understand their current workflow and real-world needs. I designed and taught a custom, four-part interactive workshop tailored to their daily work. In our remote sessions, we covered both the theoretical and the practical. I demonstrated a new skill, and then we immediately practiced it together using hands-on exercises built around their own data.
The Result
The team walked away with an immediate toolkit of new shortcuts, features, and formulas that turned tedious data tasks into quick work. Even better, seeing Airtable in action gave the organization the clarity they needed to make a big strategic move. They decided to transition to Airtable as their main tool, finally bringing all their scattered information together into one organized, single source of truth.
The Challenge
A non-profit organization was feeling bogged down by clumsy, manual data tasks, with every department struggling through its own unique set of headaches, goals, and daily challenges. Because everyone used data differently, a one-size-fits-all fix wasn't going to work.
The Approach
Each team member shared their specific frustrations and show me the actual files causing them grief ahead of time. I spent a few days digging into their existing setups to map out custom recommendations for every single person. Next, I hosted personalized, one-on-one "office hour" with each team member. Together, we reviewed my suggestions and adjusted them on the spot based on their immediate feedback. This gave us the space to dive deep into their exact needs and tackle their toughest questions side-by-side.
The Result
Every team member walked away with a clear, step-by-step game plan tailored to their specific job, along with a working demo model so they could see exactly how it worked in practice.
The Challenge
A client was struggling to manage a massive, overwhelming spreadsheet used to track employee growth and development over time. Because the file had become so bulky, it was difficult to update, hard to read, and a hassle to maintain.
The Approach
After reviewing their setup, I noticed the company already had Microsoft 365, meaning they had powerful tools right at their fingertips without needing to buy new software. Because the client wanted to learn how to master these tools herself, I didn't just build the solution and hand it over. Instead, we teamed up. Through a series of hands-on virtual sessions, we built the new system together step-by-step using Microsoft SharePoint and Power Automate.
The Result
We transformed a messy Excel spreadsheet into a clean, central dashboard that is incredibly easy to search, filter, and review. We also added smart, automated features to do the heavy lifting: the system now sends reminders to managers when data needs updating, automatically archives records when an employee moves on, and delivers a monthly progress report straight to leadership. Best of all, the client completely mastered the process. She walked away with the skills and confidence to manage, update, and maintain the entire system on her own.
The Challenge
A recruiting team was drowning in copy-and-paste tasks. They needed to share specific details—like addresses, parking instructions, and dress codes—with candidates before their interviews. Because they were tracking all this across a massive, frequently outdated list, sending welcome emails was incredibly tedious and prone to human error.
The Approach
I got together with the recruiting team for a collaborative brainstorming session to map out their biggest roadblocks and figure out exactly what their dream tool would do. Since they already used Microsoft 365, I designed and built a completely custom, easy-to-use application right inside their existing system using Microsoft Power Apps and SharePoint. This allowed us to build a tailored interface that matched their exact workflow perfectly, without the company having to buy any new software.
The Result
The team traded their messy list for a sleek, searchable dashboard packed with time-saving features. Now, they can send fully personalized welcome emails with a single click, automatically request location updates from onsite contacts, and organize complex details (like different rules for different departments) with ease. By automating the repetitive chores, the recruiting team saved hours of time and made their daily work significantly less tedious.
The Challenge
A non-profit organization was ready to upgrade to Airtable but faced a major hurdle: their data was scattered across completely different platforms, including Google Sheets, Monday.com, and various third-party software tools. They needed a master plan to bring everything together into one reliable home without losing any important information along the way.
The Approach
I sat down in person with the team leads across the organization to map out how they currently used their information and identify their biggest data headaches. With that big picture in mind, I designed a complete, step-by-step roadmap for their new Airtable system. This wasn't just a high-level overview—it was a comprehensive plan detailing more than 20 interconnected tables, specific field types, custom automations, and connections to their external software. I also designed custom, user-friendly dashboards so every team could easily see and share data transparently.
The Result
The organization now has a clear, foolproof blueprint to transition into a unified system that can grow with them. This new setup will give leadership real-time visibility into their key goals, financial returns, and future opportunities. They have asked me to stay on to partner with them through the build and launch phase.
The Challenge
Here's a fun one! An avid collector of rare and vintage fitted hats wanted a better way to track his growing collection. He had started a basic Google Sheet to list his hats, but he wanted something much more dynamic than a standard spreadsheet. He wanted a way to interact with his collection, show it off, and track its value.
The Approach
I took his simple spreadsheet and transformed it into a personalized, interactive mini-app right inside Google Sheets. Using behind-the-scenes formulas, I built a custom, user-friendly dashboard that completely changed how he looked at his data.
The Result
Now, my client can browse his own collection as if he were shopping on an online store, searching and filtering instantly by color, team, decade, or style. I built in smart features that let him monitor the real-time value of his collection and search for similar eBay listings with a single click to see what the market is doing. Best of all, I designed a visual, gallery-style view so he can easily pull up his digital closet on his phone and show off his rarest pieces to fellow collectors whenever he's out and about!
